ABOUT

Howdy! My name is Christopher Purvis. My roots trace back to Indiana, but I currently reside in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. I spent 5 years serving in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. That led me to pursue a degree in Nursing at Grand Canyon University and I am currently working as an Intensive Care Unit Nurse.

I enjoy a multitude of things in life including: fitness, health, cycling, motorcycles, endurance running, hiking, fishing, hunting, archery, music, guitar, singing, reading, writing and the list could go on.

I am blessed with an amazing wife, Shaylyn. She deeply loves Jesus Christ and encourages and pushes me in my faith.

I like to live by this motto:

work hard nap hard

Yes, I watch Duck Dynasty. Those guys are hilarious.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and I am forever thankful for what he did on the cross. I passionately love Jesus and daily strive to, as the writer of Hebrews would say, “run with perseverance the race marked out for us”. Walking, or running, by faith is not always easy, but “without faith it is impossible to please God”. Each day is full of ups and downs so I’m thankful to have an amazing heavenly Father who guides me on this adventure called life.
