My Trip to Peru – We are one with Christ

This blog post is a little late, I know. I apologize to those who have been looking for a “debrief” post about my trip. I first want to again thank everyone who prayed, gave, and encouraged me before I left, during the trip, and even upon returning to the states. I am truly grateful. Now that the semester is over, I have some time to share about my great experience serving in Lima, Peru. So here it goes…….

But first! A picture!

Light of the World

Whats up guys?!? Thanks for checking out my page and blog. This will be my first ever web page/blog, and I am excited to see how God will use it to further his kingdom here on earth and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. #Gatherinthelight. The phrase was inspired by a close friend of mine, and with their permission, I have now formed the site that you are reading this post from. In John 8 verse 12 Jesus said, “I am the LIGHT of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the LIGHT of life.” Not only by following Jesus do we avoid the darkness and not walk in it, we “HAVE the light of life”. It’s so comforting to know that even in our brokenness, weakness, and at times just plain sinful lives, Jesus Christ shines his light so bright and brings us out of the darkness and into the light. This is why I am starting this blog:

1. To spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the world. We are the light of the world – Matthew 5:14

2. To encourage believers in their walk with Christ – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

3. To address day to day living that anyone can relate to and provide biblical insight.  – John 17:17

4. To bring glory to God through social media and the internet. – 1 Corinthians 10:31

I am excited to start this new journey of blogging. You never know what God has planned. Oh, and HAPPY EASTER! Praise God for Jesus has risen from the grave! Thank you Lord for sending your son and fulfilling what we could never do and in your grace, mercy, and love, give us life everlasting!

In His Honor,
